Lori Ann Farrell
At its February 8th meeting, the Long Beach City Council approved Mayor Bob Foster’s re-appointments of Dr. Freda Hinsche Otto and Dr. James P. Norman, Jr. to four year terms on Long Beach Transit’s Board of Directors. The Council also approved the Mayor’s new appointment of Lori Ann Farrell to the seven-member Board.
Prior to serving in her current position as the Director of Finance for the City of Huntington Beach, Lori Ann Farrell most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Long Beach where she managed the City’s $3.0 billion budget. Earning her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Administration from Columbia University in New York, Farrell has extensive financial management experience in both the public and private sectors and is considered an expert in municipal finance. “With over 20 years of experience in budgeting and financial management, I have the expertise to assist public agencies in addressing the financial challenges they are facing,” said Farrell.
